Michelle Ward on The Fulfilling Life

November 13, 2013 1 Comment

Michelle Ward has been an inspiration to me since I start dreaming up my Life Coaching business. Getting to meet her in Portland last summer and then having the chance to talk about what it means to live a fulfilling life has been such a treat.

Michelle Ward is also known as the When I Grow Up Coach. She helps women transition out of soul-sucking jobs and into work that feels like play. Her first published book, The Declaration of You, was co-written with the artist Jessica Swift and can be found on real and virtual bookshelves everywhere. When she’s not coaching, speaking or writing, she can be found playing her pink ukulele, Lucille; watching all the one-camera sitcoms with her husband, Luke; or drooling over everything Zooey Deschanel wears and does.

Michelle knows a thing or two about living a truly fulfilling life, both in work and play. Enjoy getting to know Michelle in our interview.

Michelle and I talked about how important it is to get really clear about your values. Michelle shared that most people have a vague idea of what they value in life, but struggle to get specific about what exactly these values are.

When you are clear about your values it can act as a powerful blueprint for so many different decisions in your life.

Do you feel like you have a clear understanding of your values? If you haven’t done so before, take some time to gain clarity and actually write our your values. They may act as just the guide you need right now.
