July Full Buck Moon Dream Board

Last night I decided to participate in Jamie Ridler’s Full Moon Dreamboard for the first time. I’m working hard to putt big things out into the world and the energy provided by a clear and inspirational vision is something I want to harness.

A Dreamboard, similar to a visionboard, is a visual way of setting intentions, framing your hopes and dreams, and inviting all sorts of goodness into your life. The board can be a piece of card stock, poster board, cardboard, or any other material you can come up with to display images and words. It can be as big or small as you want.

Ready, Set, Go!

The images can come from anywhere. Lots of people like to use magazines, leafing through the pages and tearing out any captivating words or images. You could also use photographs and drawings, as well as add to the board with paints, markers, or crayons. Really, there is total freedom. You can do anything you want. Then, simply afix the images to your board in a way that speaks to you and you’re finished!

Jamie Ridler provides a fabulous structure around creating a Full Moon Dreamboard. At the time of the new moon she shares the energy surrounding the full moon. This serves as a piece of inspiration for creating your Dreamboard.

Ganesha

Ganesha, remover of obstacles

This month is the Full Buck Moon. Jamie describes the energy this way:

the Full Buck Moon is a time for stepping into your power. Now is the time to set intentions for bold action and big dreams. Ask yourself, “What do I want to step into and create this month?”

Stepping into my power? Yes yes yes!! The energy of the Full Buck Moon is what really moved me to create a Dreamboard this month. After all, in creating this space, building a business, and developing a magazine, I am totally stepping into my power.

For my Dream Board I gathered my magazine collection and looked for images and words connected to my intention of Abundance, Confidence, Rooted and Grounded, and Launch. I glued them all to a piece of card stock and love the result. The entire project only took a couple hours, and I worked on it while watching a movie. I’ll be hanging the Dream Board at my desk as a reminder of all I intend to create this month.

I thank you God for this amazing day

A poem I love from Oprah's poetry issue a few months back and a good reminder to grateful for and grounded in the present moment

What dreams do you have for the Full Buck Moon? How are you going to step into your power this month?
