Embrace Limitations

This quote originally appears in this post.

Embracing my limitations means letting go of the hold fear can have on me.

In my life perfection doesn’t look like stressing over every letter on the page, a pristinely made bed or thoughtfully accessorized outfits.

Instead, a desire for perfection looks a whole lot like nothing.

My perfectionism holds hands with fear, holding me back from even beginning.

I’ve adopted Voltaire’s words “Don’t let the perfect be the enemy of the good” as a sort of mantra. I may not do everything in the way I ambitiously imagine. Still, I take that important step forward, in the name of the good.

Find your limitations. Embrace them. Be good enough. Be real.

I will always have limitations. I also know that some of my limitations are my greatest blessings. And so I embrace them, I send them gratitude and I move toward my good.
