Grateful for Sunday Mornings

Sunday Morning Work

Every Sunday morning I pack up my notebooks, pens and laptop and head off to my neighborhood coffee shop to work.

I write, plan and create. I focus all my energy on my work, the work that feeds my soul, the work that I love to share with all of you.

I work without pausing to pour a cup of juice. I work without a dog whining to go outside. I work without the tug of the dirty laundry or dishes.

Every Sunday I feel a little guilty, for leaving my family on the weekend and taking time for me. Still, I leave.

I am incredibly grateful to my husband, who without hesitation, supports me in claiming this time as my own.

He waves off my guilty feelings and reminds me that my work is important, for all of us.

His support is overwhelming at times. It often feels like he believes in me more than I believe in myself.

There are so many layers to the gratitude I have for my husband. Today, I’m sharing my gratitude for the support he gives my work.

Thank you Erik. I literally would not be in this space without all that you give me.
